The Viennese architect Querkraft is responsible for the design of the Austria Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai. The design combines traditional building materials with modern techniques to present Austria as a center of innovation. A grid of truncated cones unfolds to create patterns of light and shadow. The cone forms were carefully engineered to invite the visitor to rest and contemplate the surrounding exhibition. Ramseed Mohamood was the MEP team lead for the project.
